Chemicals / petrochemicals: key sectors

80 % of the stirrers manufactured have been designed to be assembled on reactors, the very heart of a production process that requires a high level of reliability for long duration use with no manufacturing shutdown

Mechanical entraînement stirrers for the various silica-based applications

Given today’s major environmental constraints, Agitec manufactures made-to-measure mechanical coupling stirrers with sophisticated sealing for manufacturing processes based on silica (toothpaste, tyres, rubber and so on). The maintenance required on these machines is reduced, easy and quick. For these applications, Agitec works in partnership with some of the largest engine, reducer and mechanical seal manufacturers.

Magnetic coupling stirrers for explosive environments

Hydrogenation is the most restrictive process in chemistry. It is characterised by high pressure (up to 250 bar) and high temperatures (up to 400 °C), with a high risk level should there be hydrogen leakage.
AGITEC perfectly masters the constraints of explosive environments by respecting ATEX standards, to which are added the cleanliness and cleanability constraints. AGITEC provides magnetic coupling stirrers for these restrictive environments with, in addition, sealing provided by mechanical seals. The machines are ultra-clean, have no hold-up and are polished
For example: Agitec plays a part in the manufacture of PVC with ultrapolishing to prevent the rotating parts from riprap during a streeping process.

On-line polymer incorporator

In partnership with a Franco-Canadian school, AGITEC has developed a dynamic on-line mixer which makes it possible to incorporate polymers into liquid asphalt for new self-draining motorway road surfaces.

  Petrochemicals:

Agitec plays a part in the homogenisation of petrol stocks, refined products and aeronautics industry kerosene.

When chemistry and agriculture join forces, AGITEC is a key player in the “green fuel” process (diester ethanol).
