The AGM-TC’LAB ROTOR/STATOR magnetic coupling emulsifier, designed for medium capacities, is an innovation in the fine chemistry and pharmacy sectors.
The emulsifier’s applied technology is of the rotor/stator type. The main innovation lies in the couple transmission which uses a magnetic coupler through a stainless steel wall.
This form of transmission without contact guarantees 100 % sealing between the air that we breathe and the atmosphere in the vessel.
Given the production times, which can range from 15 days to 2 months, there are two main advantages to magnetic coupling emulsifiers: first, it guarantees total sealing with no risk of leakage and with no external parts (lubrification unit or bottle, pressurised nitrogen…). No classic sealing (or other) system can guarantee this.
Agitec® thus guarantees profitability and quality production, particularly for installations designed for manufacturing delicate products with high pressure and temperatures.
This principle, developed internally by the engineers at J.B. TEC
Sas, can be extrapolated on request and applied to different vessel sizes (up to 1,500 litres) and different types of product.
This type of emulsifier is already in use and has given excellent results at the level of the emulsion process and in terms of its independence of operating. It is possible to reach a very high degree of finishing with these machines in terms of roughness (up to Ra < 0.2 µm + electrolytic polishing) and anti-hold-up design (preventing products from lumping and getting caught in the corners). This type of emulsifier is adapted to use in ultra-clean environments (clean rooms, FDA certified productions…).
Advantages of the magnetic system:
- Transmission through a wall, avoiding all risk of leakage and pollution.
- The stirrer is independent, with no connection to a lubricant or to nitrogen.
- A simple electric connection is sufficient (engine option with integrated frequency modulator).
The magnetic coupling emulsifier completes a large range of Agitec® magnetic coupling stirrers, covering a multitude of functions: storage, maintenance and restoration of suspensions, homogenisation, dispersion, heat exchange and fermentation.
The standard AGM-FC stirrer, authorised for Pharmacy, has now been completed by a wide range of variations, respecting the sterility standards (FDA authorisation) such as the AGM-TC’LAB vessel roof stirrers for volumes of 1 to 1,500 litres.
